ROTATION

It is grown in the leaf vegetable bed.

CULTIVATION

Germinate the seeds indoors in April and May for transplanting in place in June during a waning crescent moon.

NEIGHBOURING PLANTS

The celeriac likes being planted near cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers and beans.
 It doesn't like being near potatoes or corn.

DISEASES AND PARASITES

Rust and mildew can be fought with decoctions of horsetail and by spraying with lithothamme.
Celery fly and moluscs are the principal parasites.

ADVICE

The celeriac improves by being transplated at least twice in a nursery bed before planting in place. It needs a lot of water.
