The horseradish is a condimentary plant, perennial by it's roots
It is from the cruciferae family like the cabbage and radish
ROTATIONIt is grown in the root vegetable bed.
CULTIVATIONThe root clumps are planted in March and April during a waning crescent moon.
It can also be planted just to early autumn.
NEIGHBOURING PLANTSIt can rest in place 3 to 5 years, plant near the other aromatics.
DISEASES AND PARASITESMildew, but it doesn't stop good root developpment.
ADVICEThe root when grated can replace mustard in salads.
When pureed it can be used to accompany roasts and cold meats.
