  1. ALMA PAPRIKA : Mild pepper originally from Hungary, capsicum annuum. Very nice variety of large round red fruits, 80 to 100 g, with a delicious taste.
  2. AMPUIS : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum. Small thin skinned crumpled red fruits in the shape of a lantern.
  3. ANAHEIM : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 4 to 6 on the Scoville scale, with long fruits 15 to 20 cm. Eaten most often when green but become red when mature. New Mexico variety.
  4. APPLE : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, with red pointed fruits 8 to 10 cm in length. Heart variety are juicy and fruity, harvested in 80 days.
  5. BOUQUET : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, with bouquets of long fruits of various colours: yellow, orange and red.
  6. BOULE DE TURQUIE : Very strong pepper, 9 on the Scoville scale. Has ball shaped fruits.
  7. CALORO : Strong pepper with yellow to orange red fruits. Very ornamental variety developed in 1966 by G. Smith at the University of Davis in Californa. Ideal for storing in vinegar.
  8. CASCABEL : Strong ornamental pepper, capsicum annuum, 4 on the Scoville scale. Fruits are eaten preferably dried. Grows to a metre in height, variety "Coban" from Guatemala is widely used in Central America. Harvested in 130 days.
  9. CASCABELLA : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 7 on the Scoville scale .Small yellow, orange and red fruits ideal for eating or decoration.
  10. CAYENNE : Very strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 8 on the Scoville scale. Short and thin fruits, used a lot in Mexico and India, dries very well. Harvested in 90 days.
  11. CAYENNE GOLDEN : Very strong pepper, capsicum annuum, with very thin yellow fruits 15 cm long
  12. CHERRY TIME : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, with small red fruits 4 to 5 cm long. A very early variety, very fruity.
  13. CHIMAYO : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 4 to 6 on the Scoville scale. A legendary and widely used variety developped by the spanish residents of Chimayo in New Mexico. Very common in the South West of America. Harvested in 95 days.

  19. CRIMSON HOT : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, with long and pointed fruits. Harvested in 80 days.
  20. CUNABELLE : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, very productive variety. It has yellow-green fruits which become orange-red when ripe. Sweet skin with a very good taste, ideal for frying.
  21. CYCLON : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, very productive with a good taste. The average sized long fruits become red when ripe.
  22. DE ARBOL : Very strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 7 on the Scoville scale. Profusion of small fruits 7 to 10 cm long with a smoked flavour, used in sauces or dried. A bushy variety 1.20m high, harvested in 120 days.
  23. DE BRESSE : Mild pepper, ancient variety grown in Bresse. Stem not homogeneous.
  24. DEL PERÙ : Strong pepper, a variety widely grown in Peru. Used in sauces, dries very well in the sun.
  25. DOUX DES LANDES : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, good productivity, has long red fruits.
  26. ECLIPSE : Medium strong pepper, capsicum annuum, with 10 to 15cm brown fruits. A variety of "New Mexico", ideal for grilling or drying.
  27. EMERALD GIANT : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, improved variety of "Keystone. Has very large green fruits which become red when ripe. A high growing variety which needs staking.
  28. ESPAGNOLA : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 3 on the Scoville scale. A variety that dries very well, it has 10 cm long red fruits.
  29. ESPELETTE : Strong pepper, a very productive traditional variety from the Basque country. It has 7 to 9 cm conical green to red fruits.

  31. FIESTA : Very strong pepper, 6 to 8 on the Scoville scale. Bouquets of erect fruits of several colours, yellow to orange to red.
  32. FIPS : Very strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 6 to 8 on the Scoville scale. Bouquets of small red fruits which grow well above the foliage.
  33. FRESNO : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 6 on the Scoville scale. Red to green fruits 5 cm long which can be smoked or dried. Variety developped in 1952 by Clarence Brown. Harvested in 100 days.
  34. FUSHIMI : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, originally from Japan. Has long red fruits and grows to 50 cm in height. Staking is advised.
  35. GOLDIE : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, grows to 50 cm. Yellow, orange and red fruits 8 to 12 cm long.
  36. GUAJILLO : Mild to strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 2 to 4 on the Scoville scale. Easy to grow, has long bright red fruits.
  37. HOT CHERRY : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 4 on the Scoville scale. A bushy and vigourous plant with round fruits.
  38. HOT PORTUGAL : Strong pepper, a variety of "Cayenne", a productive plant. Has 20 cm long red and green fruits. Harvest in 65 days.
  39. HUNGARIAN HOT WAX : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 6 on the Scoville scale. Easy to grow it has banana shaped yellow, orange and red fruits. Harvest in 60 days.
  40. ITALIAN RED MARCONI : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, originally from Italy. Has 20 cm large 3 lobed very sweet red fruits. Ideal for salads or frying.
  41. ITALIEN SWEET : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, originally from Italy. Has 15 cm long fruits, with a very thin skin and medium flesh. Delicious taste, ideal for grilling.
  42. JALAPENO : Strong pepper, 5 on the Scoville scale.
  43. JAPANESE SHISHITOU : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, originally from Japan. Very good productivity, bears slim fruits.
  44. JOKER : Mild pepper, magnificent fruits 5 cm in diameter, strangely it resembles "Rocotillo" but is more mild.
  45. JUPITER : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, very vigourous and productive. Plant has dense foliage and large fruits with 4 lobes. Staking advised.
  46. LIPSTICK : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, very good productivity. Heart shaped fruits 10 cm long
  47. LONG THICK RED : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, early variety. Has 10 cm long red fruits. Harvested in 60 days.
  48. MIDAL : Mild pepper, yellow fruits high in vitamin C.
  49. MIRASOL : Strong pepper, capsicum annuum, 5 on the Scoville scale. Originally Pre- Colombian. Erect fruits which give food a yellow colour. Harvested in 100 days.
  50. MULATTO : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, with 12 cm long dark brown fruits.
  51. NAKY : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, 2 on the Scoville scale. "New Mexico" type pepper.
  52. NARDELLO : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, red fruits 20 to 25 cm long with a wrinkled skin and slightly smoked and spicy taste.

  90. TINY SAMOA : Very strong pepper, a very ornamental variety. Bouquets of small green to red pointed fruits 3cm long.
  91. VARIETAGA : Ornamental pepper, very decorative with small conical fruits 2 to 3 cm long. Variegated white striped leaves.
  92. YELLOW BANANA : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum, originally from Hungary. Fruits are banana shaped with a thick flesh. Variety of "Wax".
  93. YELLOW BELLE : Mild pepper, capsicum annuum. Fruits have 3 lobes are thick skinned and vary in colour from yellow to red. Variety of "Calwonder".
