BRUSSEL SPROUTS (Brassica oleracea gemmiflera)

The Brussel sprout is a biennial vegetable from the brassica family

ROTATION It is grown in the leaf  vegetable bed. CULTIVATION By seeds sown in April and May for transplanting in June during a waning crescent moon. NEIGHBOURING PLANTS Lettuce but certainly not strawberries. DISEASES AND PARASITES Very few diseases. ADVICE It's better to wait until after the first frosts to pick the sprouts.
