CHIVES (Allium fistulosum)

The chive is a condimentary perennial plant  from the liliacea family like the garlic

ROTATION It is grown in the leaf vegetable bed. CULTIVATION Seeds are sown in place in March and April during a waning crescent moon.  Can also be planted after clump division in spring or autumn. NEIGHBOURING PLANTS Associates with carrots but avoid planting near peas and beans. DISEASES AND PARASITES I don't know of any. ADVICE Use chives in the borders and grow as a perennial.
