COURGETTE (Cucurbita pepo )

The courgette is an annual vegetable from the cucurbitaceae family like the squash

ROTATION It is grown in the fruiting vegetable bed. CULTIVATION The seeds are sown in place in May during a waxing crescent moon. NEIGHBOURING PLANTS The courgette appreciates cabbage, beans and corn but dislikes being near potatoes. DISEASES AND PARASITES The same as for the squash. ADVICE Take care when planting to leave a minimum of 1 m between each plant.
