Suggestion for a flowering hedge

By choosing shrubs which flower during different periods, you will have a hedge which has a continually changing aspect during the course of the season.

Here is my suggestion for a 10 m flowering hedge :
1 cotinus (Cotinus coggygria), 1 honeysuckle (Lonicera fragantissima), 1 Japanese quince (Chaenomeles x superba), 1 kerria (Kerria japonica), 1 deutzia (Deutzia scabra), 1 forsythia (Forsythia x intermedia), 1 flowering currant (Ribes sanguineum), 1 hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla), 1 kolkwitzia (Kolkwitzia amabilis), 1 rose (Rosa rugosa), 1 spiraea (Spiraea x arguta), 1 weigela (Weigelia florida).

Another suggestion : the buddleia (Buddleia davidii) and the lilac (Syringa).
