The winter black radish is a biennial vegetable from the cruciferae family

CULTIVATIONSow in May to July during a waning crescent moon.
NEIGHBOURING PLANTSIt likes being near carrots, spinach and cabbage.
It dislikes being planted near chervil.
DISEASES AND PARASITESThe same as for the turnip.
ADVICEHarvest them in October or before the first frosts.
After trimming the leaves store them in sand in a cellar or silo.
